We are more than happy to answer your questions. If you are able to call 615‑662‑4011 during standard business hours (Central Standard Time), please do, otherwise here are some answers to common questions we receive...

What does it cost?

Our standard rates are posted on this website. New clients pay half the fee to begin a project, and pay the remainder on delivery. Spiro Books’ simple rates are set for you, with no surprises.

How long does it take?

A comfortable timeline for standard packages will take months or weeks, not a year. When you need a rush turnaround we can furnish rough design ideas in 3 or 4 days, or draft a website in 8 days. Text layouts can be finished in 2 or 3 weeks. Standard websites can be developed in 3 or 4 weeks. The additional time that you need for review or making notes for revision is up to you. For manufacturing books, allow a minimum of 10 business days, plus time for shipping depending on location(s). More time will be needed if projects land in November or December for printing and bindery.

Do I need different ISBNs for my books?

Yes, each book format will need its own ISBN. If you have a hardcover, paperback, and/or ebook version of a book title, each format needs a unique ISBN. Think of them as social security numbers which identify each individual family member under the same name.

What is metadata?

Metadata is descriptive detail used to describe each format of a book, including author, description, trim size, table of contents, etc. Metadata is used by search engines (duckduckgo, bing, google) and library databases. Metadata matches reader and bookseller inquiries to the title of your books.

Who do you work for?
